Hi There!

My name is Nikki and I am an eternal seeker; of truth, of wisdom, of understanding, of adventure, of joy, of healing, of  life, to the full. What does it mean to be alive?

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).

The Purple Door is the door I enter to share musings, ponderings and all the moving parts related to singleness and parenthood, writing, creativity, photography, wanderlust, home decor, survival of childhood trauma, therapy, chronic illness, health and whatever else life throws into the mix with faith and insight woven into and through it all.

I am a country girl, Montana grown, living slightly outside the city (not in Montana), working my way back to a simpler, slower life, and to authentic living. What you will find here is a lot of transparency, ‘little bit of witty,  and a lot of ponderings  and insights into the simplicities, complexities and wonders of this life.

I have a Bachelors in Science in Human Services and Business from Amberton University, a Masters of Arts in Human Services Counseling / Life Coaching from Liberty University, and a Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling also from Liberty. Educated by both institution and personal experience, I offer my life in transparency, honesty and humility as a living sacrifice to the One who redeems every part of who we are, and for those who long to be free, He makes all things new; I am living proof.

May you find hope woven in and through my words of a life redeemed; beauty from ashes. This redemption is yours also, for the taking. It is for freedom that He sets us free. I am glad you are here. ❤

Held Tightly in the Mighty Grip of Love,
